These terms are an agreement between you and Mini Golf Scoring ("we", "us") for the use of our digital scorecard service — the management dashboard at manage.minigolfscoring.com, the player scoring app at play.minigolfscoring.com, and this website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you are using the Service for a business, you confirm you can bind that business.
1. The Service
Mini Golf Scoring lets venue operators publish digital scorecards for their courses. Players scan a QR code, add their names, and record their strokes on their own phones; operators see rounds, leaderboards and activity in their dashboard. We may improve or change the Service over time, and we will give reasonable notice of any change that materially reduces what you have paid for.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 to create an operator account, and you must give us an accurate email address and keep it current — it is how we reach you about billing and your account.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think it has been compromised.
- You may invite team members to your venues. You are responsible for who you invite and what they do; you can remove them at any time.
- Players do not need an account. By scoring a round they agree to these terms as they apply to players and to our Privacy Policy.
3. Subscriptions, trials and payment
- Live scoring requires a paid subscription. We offer one plan, billed monthly, covering unlimited venues and courses. The price is shown on this website and at checkout; it is charged in your local currency where Stripe supports it.
- New operators may start with a free trial. If the trial ends without a payment method, live scoring pauses but nothing is deleted — you can subscribe later and pick up where you left off.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel.
- If a payment fails we will let you know and retry; live scoring continues for 7 days while we do. If it still fails, new rounds and score entry pause until payment is made. Existing leaderboards stay viewable.
- You can cancel at any time from Billing in the manage app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not give refunds for partial periods, except where the law requires it. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or equivalent consumer protections.
- We may change the price with at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next billing period after the notice period.
4. Your content and your players' data
- You own the venue, course and round data you and your players put into the Service. You give us a licence to store, process and display it as needed to run the Service for you.
- As the venue operator you decide how player names and scores are used at your venue. Under privacy law you are the controller of that information and we process it for you; our Privacy Policy describes what we do with it. Do not collect more from players than a scorecard needs.
- You can export your rounds as CSV and your whole account as JSON from the manage app at any time.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, or to store content that is offensive, defamatory or infringes someone's rights;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other operators' venues, or our systems, or to probe, scan or test their vulnerability without our written permission;
- interfere with the Service's operation — for example by automated scraping, excessive requests, or circumventing rate limits or payment;
- resell or white-label the Service without our agreement;
- impersonate another venue or person.
We may suspend or remove content or accounts that breach these terms. Where practical we will warn you first.
6. Availability and support
We aim to keep the Service available around the clock but do not guarantee uninterrupted access — maintenance, our providers, and things outside our control can cause downtime. The scoring app keeps working through brief signal loss on a phone and syncs scores when the connection returns, but you should have a fallback (a paper scorecard) for extended outages during trading hours. Support is by email at [email protected]; we respond as quickly as we can on business days.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, its design, code and branding belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not give you any right to use our name or logos except to say your venue uses Mini Golf Scoring. You may print and display the QR code flyers we generate for your venues.
8. Disclaimers and liability
- The Service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties not stated in these terms, including that scores will always be recorded accurately — players type their own scores, and mistakes happen.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (including lost revenue), and our total liability to you for any claim in a 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.
- Nothing in these terms excludes rights or guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer law. Where we are permitted to limit our liability for a breach of such a guarantee, it is limited to re-supplying the Service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.
- You indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these terms or your use of players' data in breach of privacy law.
9. Ending the agreement
- You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. This permanently removes your venues, courses and rounds and cancels your subscription. Billing records are kept as tax law requires.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, have unpaid fees for more than 60 days, or where we are required to by law. We may also close the Service entirely with at least 90 days' notice, during which you can export your data, and we will refund any prepaid period beyond the closing date.
- Sections 4, 7, 8 and 10 survive termination.
10. General
- These terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the Service. If a part is unenforceable the rest still applies.
- We may update these terms. For material changes we will email operators at least 30 days before they take effect; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept them.
- You may not transfer your account without our consent. We may transfer this agreement to a successor of the business.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and disputes are subject to the courts there — without limiting your right to bring a consumer claim in your own country.
